Yost Consulting Services

As part of our EAP services, Yost behavioral health professionals provide ongoing consultation with company officials regarding a wide range of behavior problems, training options and EAP policy issues related to employee health, safety and productivity. However, we find that organizations frequently also want us to become more deeply involved in facilitating organizational change and growth opportunities.

In providing our consulting services, we strive to help managers and teams think more clearly about the problems they must solve. We assist them in discerning the behavioral and interpersonal complexities of the tasks they confront. We provide guidance through the cognitive and emotional challenges of the decision making process and help key personnel develop pragmatic action plans and devise viable procedures for evaluating outcomes.

During times of growth, downsizing, conflict or contentment, our goal is to help managers mature, executives locate good judgment and organizations maximize the health, productivity and safety of their employees. We do so by helping key personnel apply scientific research in neuroscience, cognition, behavior, emotions and social relationships to their daily operations.

Consultation services can be tailored to focus on various workplace topics such as improving management skills, enhancing motivation and productivity, dealing effectively with change, optimizing organizational development, cultivating leadership potential, enhancing applied behavioral safety protocols, developing self regulated work behavior, managing conflict, preventing workplace violence, facilitating teamwork, and blending employee competition with cooperation. Naturally, consultation services can be offered in concert with various training topics, such as those we have listed in the training section at the bottom of this page.

Research and Learning

When it comes to human behavior there is always more to learn. There are several ways that Yost EAPs and client companies learn together about which factors contribute to a successful EAP, as well as which interventions motivate optimal work behavior, including enhanced productivity. 

Both qualitative information and quantitative research can play a valuable role. Qualitative information can be generated by confidentially managed case studies, as well as the cataloging of ongoing feedback provided by employees and management. Quantitative research includes carefully designed data collection, tabulation and statistical analysis regimens that allow us to answer important questions concerning factors such as EAP intervention effects upon job retention and productivity, cost-benefit analysis issues, and evidenced based outcome measures. Yost EAP works closely with client companies to design practical, measurement based studies that provide information of use to the overall evaluation of the EAP's impact.

Training Programs

As part of our employee assistance programs, Yost EAP provides numerous EAP related supervisory and employee training programs. However, Yost EAP also provides numerous training and wellness programs designed to help organizations maximize the health and talents of their employees both individually and as part of a cohesive team.
