Workplace Safety

For 27 years now, Yost EAP has been providing a variety of services that address both the proactive and reactive dimensions of a committed and credible safety regimen. Emergency Response Services
Yost EAP provides a full array of emergency response services that are readily accessible through our toll free "800" number.Counselors are available 24 hours a day to deal with any crisis situation that may warrant attention either during or after normal business hours.In addition to dealing with individual emergencies, Yost EAP also provides onsite Critical Incidence Response Intervention for managers, employees or family members who have been exposed to particularly stressful situations such as catastrophes, death and other medical or psychological traumas.In the past, Yost EAP has provided debriefing sessions for hospitals, ambulance teams, police departments, emergency dispatchers, fire departments and banks, in addition to other types of organizations.
Drug-Free Workplace/SAP
Yost EAP works with numerous companies, agencies and institutions that have declared themselves a Drug-Free Workplace and/or are subject to Federal (DOT, DOD, DOE, etc.) guidelines, objectives, policies, and procedures.Through the execution of those contracts, we have been able to gain considerable experience in the necessary training, reporting, confidentiality regulations, and treatment requirements needed to ensure a Drug-Free Workplace. Yost EAP will provide any necessary drug and alcohol training to help all covered employees and supervisors conform to the standard requirements of a Drug-Free Workplace and comply with Federal regulations.Such training will also inform participants of signs and symptoms necessary for the identification of alcohol and drug problems in the workplace, as well as legal and ethical issues concerning the maintenance of a Drug-Free Workplace. Also, Yost EAP can provide Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) services consistent with federal requirements. Yost EAP employs Substance Abuse Professionals directly and also maintains a network of affiliate SAPs to service contracts throughout the country. Non-SAP drug and alcohol evaluations can also be provided consistent with a company's Drug Free Workplace Requirements. Workplace Violence Prevention
Yost EAP provides comprehensive workplace violence prevention services that include assessment, consultation, workplace violence prevention training and crisis management.Our counselors are experienced in working with situations that require urgent evaluation and sustained consultation, as well as onsite intervention services. We are frequently called upon to play a integral role as part of company threat management teams that include supervisors, union stewards,security officers, human resource managers, medical directors, CEOs among others.
Harassment Prevention Training
Yost EAP provides training to minimize sexual harassment and discrimination in the workplace, as well as to increase sensitivity to diversity issues. Applied Behavioral Safety
Yost EAP provides consultation and training associated with the evaluation, improvement and maintenance of workplace safety protocols. Open communication channels, teamwork, quality improvement, anger management, impulse control, judgment and predictive foresight are among the issues dealt with in working with the complex interactions affecting both productivity and safety.
